Group Schedule for September
Mon – 9 am – no group until further notice
Tues – 9 am – Pregnancy/Parenting (4th Tues –
Methadone and Pregnancy - mandatory group!)
Tues – 6 pm – Methadone Anonymous
Wed – 9 am – Women’s Group
Wed – 6 pm – Coping Skills
Thur – 9 am – Relapse Prevention
Fri – 9 am – Dealing with Anger, Depression and
Stress
Sat – 8 am – Saturday Morning Group

Last day for group credit/compliance in September will be
Tuesday, September 26th. Billing changes will be turned into
the business office on Wednesday and will be effective on
Saturday, September 30th.

Walker Recovery now has a website!! It can be found at www.methadonesouth.com
by clicking on the WRC logo at the top of the page. You will
be able to check this site for updates on groups, dosing times,
etc. Also included are links to other methadone information
sites.

LATE DOSING NEWS
You must have the correct change when you late dose! Change
is not always on hand for large bills.

Something New!
Walker Recovery Staff will be selecting a “Client of
the Week” each Monday at Treatment Team. The client
does not have to be a phase client; just someone who has gone
above and beyond what is required of them. The rewards will
be a special designated parking spot at the front of the building
and the privilege of moving to the front of the line in dosing.
The Client of the Week’s number will be posted in the
dosing lobby and also listed in the newsletter the following
month. This will begin on Tuesday, September 5th. Starting
in October we will also be selecting an Employee of the Month
who will also have a special parking spot.

Update your phone/contact numbers!! Tell your counselor if
you have any change in your numbers. You need to do this ASAP
due to the hurricane season and the possibility of needing
to get in touch with you for changes in dosing hours, closings,
etc.

We only have 13 days to confirm toxicology screens. The lab
has informed the front office that samples are dis -carded
on the morning of the 14th day. Clients should be aware of
this and be sure to provide enough urine for a re-test.

September 2006 Physicals
Dr. Camp is in the clinic on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons
from 2 pm until 4 pm and on Wednesday from 10 am until 4 pm.
Please make appointments with the front office for your physical.
You have the month your physical is due to schedule and keep
an appointment. All physicals are held at Walker Recovery
Center. Check with your counselor to make sure your physical
is not past due from a previous month to avoid a possible
dose reduction.
NOTE: Dr. Camp will not be in the clinic from Sept 7- Sept
15. Keep this in mind when making your appointments.
